The Fire Element – Light The Flame
The Fire element. Our passion, drive, desire, and inner turmoil are all wrapped into one fierce vortex of energy. We all have some of the four elements in our being, Earth, Air, Fire, and Water. Each brings their strengths and weaknesses, building off each other magically and intricately. Ideally, we want each to be present in our lives equally. If we find we are struggling in one area or neglecting one, the others will overcompensate until we can once again reach a balanced state.
The fire element is where we store our core drivers.
This is where a deep need for forward movement, focus, and the wielder of our own destiny lives. In other words, we make things happen within the Fire element. But with the light also comes the darkness. We cannot be one without the other. The dark part of our lives is where we learn, grow, and realized how strong we really are. The Fire element is here to shine a light on the path out of the shadows and into the bright light. Unbalanced, and we can maybe appear as cocky, self-centered, or possibly showing a lack of compassion. Yes, you want to reach your goals and dreams; just be mindful of those who held your hand on the way there. Do not leave a trail of despair on your way to the top.
Fire Element and Our Astrology
So, does any of this remind you of yourself or someone you know? Then maybe their astrology sign falls under the Fire element. The astrology signs that are fire signs are (and) fittingly associated with are Sagittarius (ninth house), Aries (first house), and Leo (fifth house). A Fire sign will fiercely stand up for what they believe in and what they think is right. As with this, sometimes a Fire sign can unintentionally leave the emotions of others in its wake.
Earth, Air, and Water Elements
This is when the other elements, Earth, Air, and Water, step in to lend a bit of softness to the intensity of the fire elements. Fire element signs could be best suited with Water or Air element signs. Think of it as providing a guiding light to the water, a path to follow, and direction. In return, the Water element provides empathy and connection on a deeper level to the Fire element. So, when you’re feeling a bit out of alignment with your inner Fire element, take a few seconds or longer to gaze up at the sky and the sun. The sun is one of the signs of the Fire element with the highest purity.
So, Water element signs (Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces) can help create more empathy, understanding, and a bit of softness to their rough edges. For our whimsical Air element signs (Gemini, Libra, Aquarius), it helps the Fire element keep moving. As with the Fire element, one may want to stay and become the best, but the Air element will help one to keep moving forward and let go of what is no longer working. The Air element can also fan the Fire element’s flame and keep the go-getter trait from burning out.
The Air and Fire element are made for each other; these two tend to be the more compatible out of the four elements. The Earth element signs (Virgo, Capricorn, Taurus) help the Fire element be a bit more stable and grounded. It helps one slow down a bit and take it one step at a time on their way to the top. Bringing a bit of the Earth element’s traits can also open up the caring and compassionate side of the Fire element.
Fire Element Symbol
The symbol for the Fire element is an upright triangle. This is to represent a strong base and the thought when these four elements were conceptualized that strength represented masculine energy (but hey, Ladies, we’re strong in our own ways, right!).
Fire Element Yoga Flow
If you need to ignite the fire within you, this yoga is here to light the flame. It is short and sweet, but it definitely is one that will get the heart rate up. Boho Beautiful always finds a way to create an effective and engaging flow. I tend to gravitate to her yoga videos when I know I need to push myself and expand my strength.

I am truly a fire sign!!! As you explained all the different signs, I was able to identify myself easily. I also did not know if I lack in one area, the others compensate. I wonder if this is why the characteristics of the fire sign in me are so dominate…hmmmm…

A Leo here! I love the idea that with light there also comes darkness, I think this is so important to remember in life. The darkness is unavoidable but it is what makes us stronger
