Try This Amazing and Easy Chocolate Chip Banana Bread Recipe
Use this easy banana bread recipe before they go bad
When our bananas are on their last leg I turn to making my quick and tasty banana bread. I usually make a few loaves or muffins and freeze the extras so we have this delicious snack or quick go-to breakfast on hand. I don’t add any white sugar to this recipe because I find that it is sweet enough without but feel free to add a bit if you want something sweeter. This recipe makes about 2 loaves so you can cut the ingredients in half if you’re just looking to make one loaf.
Recipe for Amazing Banana Bread
6 ripe bananas
4 cups flour
1 tsp salt
2 tsp baking soda
2 tsp vanilla
1 cup butter
2 ¾ cups brown sugar
2 eggs
1 1/3 cup apple sauce
1 bag of semi-sweet chocolate chips
Optional – walnuts
First, set your oven to 350 degrees. In one bowl mix together flour, salt, and baking soda and set aside. In a second bowl beat butter until fluffy then mix in bananas, vanilla, brown sugar, eggs, and apple sauce. Once the ingredients are mixed together add in the flour, salt, and baking soda from the first bowl.
Fold in the chocolate chips (and nuts if you prefer), feel free to add as much as you want. Place mixture into a loaf pan (spray with non-stick) about ¾ full, I usually add some Walnuts to the top for an added crunch. Bake time is about 70-90 minutes. Check after 60 minutes. Once you can insert a toothpick and it comes out clean, you’re all set to serve!
